Job summary

TWE Nonwovens US Inc is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support loading, material handling and shipping operations in a 12-hour shift environment. You will follow procedures to ensure productivity, quality and safety while handling goods and paperwork.

Responsibilities include FIFO loading, staging trucks, accurate packaging and labeling, and performing inventory counts. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and readiness to work every other weekend as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Nonwovens experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience as yard switcher/yard dog or spotter is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Pull products shipped using FIFO.
  • Stage and load trucks as directed by Shipping Lead/Supervisor.
  • Ensure correct packaging, labels, and tube/bag usage.
  • Audit outgoing shipments for 100% accuracy before delivery.
  • Store finished goods in designated areas.
  • Complete inventory cycle counts as directed.
  • Back-up Material Handlers as needed.
  • Maintain required records and perform cleaning duties.
  • Actively participate in 6S and keep area clean.

Description

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITY

Follow all procedures and work instructions to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety, assuring internal and external customer satisfaction. Perform loading functions as needed so that all trucks are loaded accurately and efficiently. Perform all material handling functions to ensure finished goods is stored and handled properly. Serve as back-up to Material Handlers when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines & Procedures (i.e. Forklift - Pedestrian Safety)
  • Pull products shipped using FIFO.
  • Stage and Load trucks as directed by Shipping Lead/Shipping Supervisor
  • Ensure product is packaged correctly, the correct tubes and bags are used, and bags are labeled properly.
  • Audit all outgoing shipments to ensure 100% accuracy before delivery to the customer
  • Properly store all finished goods in the area designated.
  • Complete inventory cycle counts as directed
  • Back‑up Material Handlers as needed.
  • Maintain required records in performing assigned duties.
  • Perform prescribed cleaning and/or waste removal duties according to designated procedures.
  • Perform other cleaning duties as needed to maintain equipment and/or work area clean and orderly, using necessary equipment.
  • Actively participate in 6S Process and maintain housekeeping during the shift.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Nonwovens experience is a plus but not required. Experience as a yard switcher/yard dog or spotter a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Perform basic math skills. Ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally 75 pounds. Ability to work 12 hour shifts every other weekend with when business demands warrant a 24-7 continuous operation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
