Job summary

Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Line Sanitarian in Mocksville, NC. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness of operations areas to uphold sanitation, quality and safety guidelines, with a 6:30 am to 4:30 pm schedule.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene stations, monitoring for unsanitary conditions and operating cleaning equipment as needed. Prior food processing experience is a plus, and safety training is required.

Qualifications

• Must complete required safety training (Powered Industrial Trucks, Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, etc.).
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day.
• Previous food processing/manufacturing experience is a plus.

HOURS: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

EMPLOYMENT: Full time

JOB SUMMARY

Maintains cleanliness of operations work areas in keeping with sanitation, quality and safety guidelines.

JOB DUTIES

• Maintain multiple hygiene areas for employees, including boot dips, hand wash stations, and hand sanitizing stations, including chemical balance and soap and sanitizer levels.
• Monitor production area for unsanitary conditions, taking appropriate action to correct deficiencies, such as picking up trash and taking it to the inedible dock, sanitizing door handles and pull cords, and keeping work areas and major walkways clear and free from any hazards as a result of unsanitary conditions.
• Operate riding floor scrubber as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold; noise; humidity; moving vehicles; slippery floors; possible heavy and repeated lifting. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must complete required safety training (Powered Industrial Trucks, Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, etc.). Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day. Previous food processing/manufacturing experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug testand background check arerequired.
