Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Line Operator (1st Shift) on a union position. You will manage shop orders, maintain equipment cleanliness, and document processes on IPC and logbooks. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to QA standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position runs 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday, with English fluency and a high school diploma as prerequisites.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Check schedule for assigned shop orders and ensure cleanliness of equipment.
  • Sign Inventory Control logbook and instruct where to place pallets.
  • Update the dry-erase board from shop orders and notify Supervisor to verify components.
  • Verify components against the Packaging Card and obtain area supervisor and QA approval.
  • Ensure components are set up for FIFO and stage them on the line.
  • Request line supplies (paper towels, gloves, sleeves, pens, etc.).
  • Coordinate with mechanic to confirm equipment setup.
  • Load tubes onto filling machine magazine and load boxes into boxer magazine as positioned.
  • Check lot number/expiration date and tube weight against packaging card order.
  • Notify QA for line release and document activities in Area/Equipment log book.
  • Complete In-process Control Forms; keep lines/equipment clean and manage PM stickers.
  • Secure documents/inserts/labels during breaks; keep area debris-free.
  • Request supply replenishment from inventory control and obtain QA approval prior to use.
  • Count/record units produced, damages, and destroyed items during PM/lot runs; document IPC forms.
  • Observe and record damages and partial case counts (IPC (2) form; Inventory Reconciliation form).
  • Properly destroy components into bins/waste drums; complete IPC forms.
  • Notify supervisor when jobs/orders are completed or if line problems occur; keep area clear.

  • Check components against Packaging Card; confirm checks by area supervisor and Q.A.
  • Verify components are set up for FIFO and stage components on the line.
  • Request line supplies (paper towels, gloves, sleeves, pens, etc.).
  • Check with mechanic to confirm equipment is set up.
  • Load tubes onto filling machine magazine; load boxes into boxer magazine (if positioned for access).
  • Check lot number/expiration date and tube weight against packaging card order.
  • Notify Q.A for line release; document activities in Area/Equipment log book.
  • Complete In-process Control Forms; keep lines/equipment clean and remove PM stickers/empty corrugations.
  • Secure documents/inserts/labels in appropriate cages during breaks; keep area free of debris.
  • Request supply replenishment from inventory control and obtain Q.A approval prior to use.
  • Count/record units produced, damages, and destroys during PM/lot runs; document drum usage on IPC (2) form.
  • Observe and record damages and partial case counts (IPC (2) form; Inventory Reconciliation form).
  • Properly destroy components into bins/waste drums; complete IPC forms.
  • Notify supervisor when jobs/orders are completed or if line problems occur; ensure line/work area is clear.
Experience Required:
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation/Hours:
  • Starting pay: $17.00 per hour; 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday.
