Aerotek is seeking a 1st Shift Laser Operator in Streetsboro, OH. This contract-to-hire role involves operating TRUMPF laser equipment in a small, collaborative shop. You will review orders, load sheets, run the laser, verify parts, and keep accurate ERP records.

Position is 1st shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), in a non-temperature-controlled facility. Safety, teamwork, and precise workmanship are essential for success.

Formación

• 1+ year of laser operator experience, preferably operating TRUMPF laser equipment.
• Proficiency in laser operation, including setup, cutting, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Strong math skills to verify dimensions, quantities, and tolerances.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality parts.
• Ability to complete production paperwork and ERP documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Review work orders and blueprints to understand job requirements and priorities.
• Load steel sheets onto TRUMPF laser cutting equipment safely.
• Operate laser cutting machinery to produce parts per specifications.
• Remove completed parts and stack finished material orderly.
• Use roller tables and manual handling tools to move materials.
• Assist with moving heavy materials weighing up to 217 lbs with another operator as needed.
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions against prints.
• Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and height gauges for measurement.
• Complete production paperwork and ERP documentation accurately.
• Communicate production needs and quality concerns with supervisors and teammates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes and equipment.
