Job summary

AdvisaCare is seeking in-home caregivers/CNA to assist with basic care in home settings, with potential transportation to appointments. Travel within Oakland and Macomb counties is required, at 16 hours per week (3 days, 4 hours per day).

Responsibilities include patient care, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication administration, and companionship, with emphasis on safe, compassionate support in the patient\'s residence.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to travel within the service area.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients residences
• Perform domestic and household tasks
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with clients personal care activities
• Monitor patients\' vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc, and report on their condition
• Maintain patients care records and document provided services
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Provide companionship
