Job summary

Automation Personnel Services in Moody, AL is seeking a GENERAL LABOR/MACHINE OPERATOR for 1st shift. This active manufacturing role involves standing on concrete, handling ingredients and packaging materials, operating packaging and processing equipment, and maintaining food safety and product quality.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30am–2:30pm, with overtime as needed. Lifting 55–75 pounds, wearing PPE, and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift 55–75 pounds.
• Stand/walk on concrete for ~8 hours per shift.
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week with possible overtime.
• Work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with spice dust, noise, forklift traffic, and varying temperatures.
• Wear all required PPE and follow hygiene and food-manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment (baggers, bottlers, blenders, labelers, boxers, tapers, conveyors).
• Perform production activities such as filling bottles, bags, boxes and bulk containers while ensuring food safety and product quality.
• Adhere to metal detector/CCP procedures when required.
• Handle raw ingredients and finished blends with correct codes and FIFO practices.
• Palletize finished products and assist with loading/unloading materials.
