Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 1st Shift Freight Handler in Plant City, FL. The role starts at $19.52 per hour with weekly pay and includes performance incentives, benefits starting day one, and a chance to grow within a large food-service network.

The job requires standing for long periods, working Sunday through Friday with Tuesday and Saturday off, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F). Prior warehouse experience is a plus, and drug/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets from trailers and break down products for correct pallet configuration.
• Sort inbound freight by item code onto correct pallets and separate damaged product.
• Ensure pallet structural integrity and proper inventory handling.

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As afreight handler, you'll support our team bysafely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration.You will alsoseparate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets.
