Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Imperial, PA is hiring a Freight Handler for 1st shift (6:00 AM start) with pay starting at $16.94 per hour. No experience is required; we provide training and you will help unload pallets and prepare pallets for inventory.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, in conditions from -25F to 100F, read/write English, and pass a background check and drug test. We offer weekly pay, wellness reimbursement, profit sharing and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from the trailer.
• Break down product for the correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is not received into inventory.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets.

Freight Handler

Distribution Center Address: 225 Solar Dr. Imperial, PA

Pay: Starting at $16.94/hour

Plus, any performance incentives , bonuses, etc.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday work week

1st Shift - 6:00 AM - until finished (approx. 1-2 pm)

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you'll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration. You will also separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!
