Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler in Imperial, PA. You will support warehouse operations by removing pallets from trailers and preparing pallets for storage, while ensuring accuracy in item coding and pallet integrity.

No experience is required as we train you. The role includes a 1st shift schedule (6:00 AM - finish) and a starting wage of $18.60 per hour, with incentives and bonuses possible.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Remove pallets from trailers and break down for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is not received into warehouse inventory.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets.
• Training will be provided; no prior experience required.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday work week
• 1st Shift - 6:00 AM - until finished (approx. 1-2 pm)

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you’ll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration. You will also separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets. There’s no experience required - we’ll train you how to get the job done!

• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you’re here.
