Job summary

Smalley is seeking a 1st shift Shipping associate in Lake Zurich, IL. The role involves operating industrial trucks to move materials, loading/unloading, and ensuring safe handling per company specifications. Candidates should have 2+ years in production/shipping and strong communication skills.

We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for career growth, with a salary range of $19.00–$22.00 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years proven experience working in Production/Shipping/Distribution/Warehousing.
• Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Pass required exam of basic math and English.

Responsibilities

• Operates industrial trucks including sit-down and reach, to pick/put away materials and inventory as required by company specifications and requirements.
• Moves materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading/receiving docks safely.
• Practices safe driving requirements.
• Loads/unloads materials from trucks as needed.
• Identifies and reports all products that fail to meet appropriate specifications/rejected products to Supervisor.
• Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs.
