Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Iowa City is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver for 1st shift (6 am-2:30 pm, Mon-Fri). This role requires operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store and move goods within a busy warehouse.

A high school diploma or GED, 6 months in logistics, and forklift certification are required. WMS input, RF scanning, and basic computer skills are used daily; safety and accuracy are essential to keep inventory aligned and shipments on

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
6 months experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
Able to operate MHE (material handling equipment).
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; input data accurately into WMS.
Pull and prepare for shipment; ensure correct quantity and type of product are loaded and shipped.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report variances.
Move product from staging/storage to production lines or docks; ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.
Keep records and reports to maintain inventory control; assist in physical inventories and stock rotation.
