Job summary

Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to support our warehouse operations. You will operate electric or gas-powered forklifts, load and unload shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records while following GMP and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 12-hour scheduled shifts.
• Read and write the English language.
• Pass the Seneca Forklift certification test.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric or gas-powered forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Unload, load, transfer, and stack goods from trucks and to appropriate locations.
• Interpret shipping or receiving documents to determine items to load/unload.
• Stack pallets up to 5 high and ensure proper weight distribution.
• Inspect vehicle daily and maintain cleanliness and safety practices.
• Track and update inventory data.
• Ensure GMP, safety rules, and regulations are followed.
• Assist with general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
