Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in Alabaster, AL. The role oversees and assists with the full production of automotive glass, operating a sit-down forklift on the line and moving loads safely.

Shift is 3:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime possible; pay is $17.45 per hour. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with benefits including weekly pay and health-related coverage.

1st SHIFT FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for a company based in Alabaster, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee and assist with the full production of Automotive glass.

Pay Rate

$17.45 per hour for forklift

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Sunday, 3 00 am to 3 00 pm. Overtime schedule Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3 00 pm. Regular schedule

1st Shift Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Working on production line assembling glass or components for glass.
• Applying primer and silicone to glass.
• Operating a sit down forklift as needed.
• Safely moving loads and glass.
• Operating machinery as needed depending on the department you are in.
• Closely always follow safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.

1st Shift Production Associate / Floating Forklift Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be available to work the regular and the overtime schedule of up to 7 days a week and 12 hour shifts.
• A strong commitment to regular attendance and punctuality, as scheduled shifts are essential to business needs.
• Prior experience in forklift specifically sit down.
• Must be able to pass a forklift assessment.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move loads safely that are up to 25 pounds.
