Job summary

Libbey Inc. in Toledo, Ohio, is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to maintain and repair our material handling equipment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep our production lines running safely and efficiently. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of forklift experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Forklift Mechanic
Must be willing to work 1st shift
Must pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator exams
Job requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching
Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions and engines.
Troubleshoot forklift related issues.
Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.
Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment.
