Job summary

DSM-Firmenich AG in South Bend, IN is seeking a Production Operator on the 1st shift to follow GMPs and work with food ingredients. You will weigh, measure, and mix raw materials and operate blending, filtration, and packaging processes while maintaining documentation accuracy.

Under the direction of the Lead Manager, you will set up equipment, perform routine maintenance, collect QC samples, and ensure safety and SHE standards.

Qualifications

• :Follows GMPs and maintains proper documentation.
• :Able to weigh, measure, and mix raw materials.
• :Operates pH meter and metal detectors.
• :Sets up, calibrates, and monitors equipment.
• :Tears down, cleans and re-assembles equipment.
• :Identifies deviations and takes corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Safety awareness and accident prevention in all tasks.
• Operate process and utility equipment per procedures.
• Collect QC samples per established procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor instruments.
• Tear down, clean, and re-assemble equipment.
• Identify deviations and respond to variations in process.
• Document SOPs, mixing, pH adjustments, transfers.
• Handle variations in raw materials and environment.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance to keep processes running.
