Job summary

North Star Mohican Casino Resort is seeking a Cook 1 to join our Resort Division. The role offers $17.50 per hour with opportunities to work across various kitchen stations, ensuring quality and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced casino resort setting.

Responsibilities include food prep, sanitation, and collaboration with teammates to support daily operations while adhering to safety and health standards. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• For full-time applicants aged 18 to 19, HSD or GED is required, or proof of current enrollment in an educational program.
• For applicants aged 16 to 17, enrollment proof in an educational program is necessary for flex employment.
• Preferably, one year of culinary experience and Serve Safe Food Handlers certification within three months.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food safety.
• Competent knife skills and culinary knowledge.
• Familiarity with food products and preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to teamwork and positive guest interactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Compliance with pre-employment screenings and health standards.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment
