Job summary

Perrigo in Bronx, NY is seeking a 1st Shift Facilities Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot utility systems across three buildings. Union role, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with overtime as needed.

The candidate will perform repair/install/upgrade work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pumps, control panels and related systems, and assist with housekeeping tasks. Strong experience and PLC/CMMS familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
• Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Five plus years of solid maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• PLC background desirable.
• Experience with CMMS such as SAP and ability to navigate training systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operations and troubleshooting of Perrigo’s facilities systems in compliance with codes and SOPs.
• Performs utility systems rebuilding/installation, upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Completes general work orders and interfaces with other technicians across shifts in a team environment.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
