1st Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician, Kohler Hospitality

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:

Kohler, WI

Opportunity

To provide basic facilities maintenance and preventative maintenance inspections as required to assure the functional reliability of patron facilities and the optimal performance of building systems and equipment in the Hospitality & Real Estate Group properties. Must demonstrate proficiency in technical skills such as carpentry, mechanicals, flooring, painting, electrical, pools, HVAC, drywall, etc., and exhibit good interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and service for equipment, machinery, and systems throughout the Group facilities.
• Perform simple repairs to buildings or equipment as requested through Work Orders and assist more experienced Technicians with complex inspections or repairs.
• Monitor external areas of the Group facilities for safety and functionality.
• Participate in training programs to develop relevant skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate maintenance reports, work schedules, backlog, and completed work orders.
• Recommend ordering of spare parts and materials.
• Keep storage areas orderly and compliant with fire and safety codes.
• Communicate regularly via electronic means and verbally for shift handovers and updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm; weekends are required.

Skills/Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Additional technical training in mechanical, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, tiling, pools, or plumbing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled trade.
• Motivated tradesperson capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

The hourly rate is $20-$22, influenced by experience, education, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
