Job summary

LJP Waste Solutions is seeking a full-time 1st Shift Equipment Operator in North Mankato, MN, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. You will safely operate front end loaders, forklifts, compactors, and shredders to keep materials moving through transfer floors and processing operations.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically capable, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting. Prior experience in waste management or related industries is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 1–2 years operating heavy equipment (-front end loaders, forklifts, etc.).
• Experience in waste management, recycling, or industrial operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (front end loaders, forklifts, compactors, shredders) to move and process materials.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Monitor materials for contamination or safety hazards and flag as needed.
• Maintain steady material flow from transfer floor through processing systems.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations, and coordinate with maintenance.
• Record production logs and participate in shift briefings.
