Job summary

Vermont Cider Company is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician/PLC Specialist to join our maintenance team on 1st shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve highly technical production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation, plus the ability to read electrical schematics. 1st shift hours are 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical experience with industrial electrical or programming preferred.
• Two-year technical degree and/or licensed electrician credential preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting motor control and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and provide maintenance and electrical support for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC- and VFD-controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment using precision measurement tools.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Follow plant safety, 5S, and SOP requirements while completing assigned work efficiently.
• Analyze process data and support equipment maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Use the maintenance management system to document corrective and preventive maintenance, source and issue parts, record equipment issues, and enter inspection or measurement points.
• Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production needs to support production and maintenance KPIs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
