Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Urbana, IL is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for installation and maintenance of electrical systems across the facility, including lighting, presses, paint line and compressors. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and starts at $35.00 per hour with a $0.50 raise after six months, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Color vision to distinguish a wide range of colors.
• Certified Electrician with 10-15 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within a team setting.
• Health and safety compliance training understandings (English).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain motor control systems and electrical aspects of pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, forklift and man-lift.
• Collaborate with maintenance trades (electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, mechanical, Tool and Die).
• Perform general repairs to heavy machinery and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace complying with safety and quality standards.
• Employees are required to provide their own tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
