Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a Digital Finishing Operator (ABG) for the 1st shift to operate and setup finishing lines, including die-cutting and foil processes. You will ensure accurate registration and quality control of printed web materials on our AB Graphic equipment.

The role involves loading rolls, performing job changeovers, and inspecting outputs while maintaining safety and efficiency. Training onsite will help you master the skilled trade and advance within the printing industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment; printing or packaging preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math in all units of measure.
• Ability to read rulers and measurement devices.
• Must stand/walk regularly and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate AB Graphic finishing lines including flexo units, die-cutting, UV/IR curing, foil, embossing, slitting, printing and rewinding.
• Load and register printed web rolls into the finishing machine ensuring precise print-to-cut registration and web tension.
• Perform job changeovers by mounting dies, preparing inks, setting blades, and aligning sensors to minimize downtime.
• Inspect web runs manually and monitor inline inspection systems to catch defects such as color variance or misregistration.
• Verify finished rolls against job tickets for dimensions, direction, core size, and coating cure/adhesion.
• Perform routine daily and weekly maintenance on ABG lines; clean rollers, cylinders, knives, and sensor lenses.
• Troubleshoot issues mid-run including tension spikes, web weave, varnish streaks, and registration drift.
• Log job completion, scrap, downtime, and material usage in the plant MIS/ERP system.
