The position requires operating a 6-axle truck, completing inspections, and maintaining DOT-compliant records. A strong safety record, reliability, and time-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license with clean driving record.
• DOT medical card requirement or willingness to obtain.
• CDL license preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience as a heavy truck driver; safe operation of heavy trucks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial delivery truck (6 axle) throughout the Washington, DC area.
• Load and unload materials, securing cargo and ensuring good condition.
• Complete delivery and pickup routes on time per schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Keep accurate trip logs and receipts; follow DOT rules and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries.
