Job summary

Optimas OE Solutions in Illinois is hiring for a 1st Shift Cold Header Operator to run cold heading machines and produce parts for heavy truck and automotive markets. You will read blueprints, set up and troubleshoot equipment, monitor quality and maintain records while working with a safety‑driven team on a fast‑paced line.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years cold heading experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand 8–10 hours per shift in a production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years relevant cold heading experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 8-10 hours per day.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Review and validate materials (wire grade, diameter).
• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines.
• Use machine controls, SPC & process monitoring systems.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to check headed blanks.
• Maintain quality records and forms and documentation.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment.
• Perform daily/weekly machine maintenance.
