Job summary

American Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a 1st shift cold header / cold forming machine operator for a busy metal fabrication job shop in Wisconsin. You will operate stamping production machines, read work orders, and set up and tend equipment to meet specifications.

Strong math and measurement skills are required, with experience on cold header and/or cold forming machines. Forklift experience and a HS diploma or GED are needed.

Qualifications

• Strong operator skills on 1st shift.
• Cold header and / or cold forming machine experience.
• Good math and measuring; will learn set ups of punch presses.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend machines to slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal—sheet fed and coil fed material.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, materials, locations of cutting lines, or tolerances.
