Description

CNC Machinist/Tool Maker designs, builds, repairs, and maintains precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing. They program and operate CNC machines and other precision machining equipment, interpret technical prints, and ensure tools and dies meet design specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma, preferred

Trade school/relevant technical degree/certificate and/or 7+ years of equivalent work experience preferred

• Ability in programming, operating, and setting up precision CNC machinery such as mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating a manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with working around, on, and with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to understand and follow safety initiatives and regulations of the company.
• Provide effective communication with engineers, tool room technicians, production staff and other support team members.
• Experience with heat treatment processes for steel and other materials and how they relate to precision machining and tool making.
• Ability to troubleshoot tool room machine issues and resolve them.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc).
• TIG and/or MIG welding experience.
