Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina, KS is seeking a 1st Shift General Maintenance person to join our team. The role runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays and possible weekend on-call hours. Primary duties include troubleshooting and repairing production equipment from hydraulic systems to CNC machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and leading safety and environmental practices at the site.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Working knowledge of CNC lasers, torches, lathes, drill presses, brake presses, horizontal milling machines, forklifts and welders.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery.
Repair equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
Complete projects such as mechanical and software upgrades.
Maintain equipment logs and document downtime and maintenance problems.
Assist with scheduling downtime for machine repairs or preventive maintenance.
Provide safety leadership and ensure environmental procedures are followed.
Provide information to Production Supervisors on equipment and process performance.
