Position Summary Details

The Cleaner position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. Must be available to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm. Pay $12.00/hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities, performing tasks such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Notifies managers concerning repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establishes effective communication with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Complies with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
• Willing to complete all assigned tasks and flexible in duties.

Additional Responsibilities

• Uses cleaning equipment and chemicals safely to clean floors, furniture, walls, and fixtures.
• Uses ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, and equipment, cleans ceilings, and polishes fixtures.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning.
• Removes stains, sweeps walks, rakes leaves, and performs seasonal outdoor tasks.
• Prepares cleaning solutions, strips and polishes floors, cleans carpets, and empties trash.
• Services restrooms, cleans windows and mirrors, and maintains janitor's closet.
• Monitors building security and safety, and may drive cleaning vehicles.
• Performs basic repairs if needed and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must meet requirements for working in specific environments, including a ten-year work history if available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• One year of similar work experience.
