Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older, HS Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience welding cast iron.
• 1+ year experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
• Understand materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting preferred.
• Attention to quality requirements is essential.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• Welding certificates may be preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Cut, shape, clean, and grind CAST IRON metal surfaces using saws, torches, or grinders.
• Align, clamp, and fit metal components together before welding.
• Execute welds in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.Inspect completed welds for flaws, accuracy, and structural integrity.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and tools.
• Document any defective product and report to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
