The shift is Monday to Friday, 5:30 am – 2:30 pm. Candidates should maintain safety, follow procedures, communicate with line teammates, perform start-ups, adjust speeds, and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Collect bath analyses from the lab and adjust as required.

• Maintain a clean, safe line and proper equipment storage.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate a single anodizing line efficiently.
• Monitor each step of the anodizing process for quality.
• Start up the machine and adjust speed based on part tolerance and staffing.
• Communicate with line operators about conditions and issues.
• Ensure tanks and line are ready before shift; follow daily duties from process manager.
• Obtain color boards, job cards, and bath analyses; adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with the racking crew to load correct parts and racks.
• Remain on the catwalk to monitor belts, racks, baths, and to add chemicals/dyes/sealant.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment; perform routine belt repairs.

Job Summary

The Anodizing Line Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of a single anodizing line. Monitors all steps in our proprietary anodizing process including the conveyor belt system, racks, chemicals/dyes, and resulting product consistency and quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Exemplary attendance is required
• Continuously monitor each step of the anodizing process for quality of parts.
• Responsible for the start-up of the machine; adjust speed as necessary dependent upon the tolerance of the parts and the number of workers on the line.
• Communicate with the other operators on the line as to operating conditions, dye mixture, special problems, etc., that occurred during the shift.
• Responsible for monitoring tanks and assuring the line is operational prior to the start of the shift. Check with process manager daily as to extra duties for the next day’s shift.
• Obtain color boards and job cards as needed; obtain bath analysis from the lab and make any necessary adjustments.
• Inform racking crew what part is to be run and make sure the proper racks are in place.
• Remain on the catwalk throughout the shift to monitor the belt, racks, parts, baths, etc., and to add chemicals, dyes, and seal as needed.
• Maintain a clean line, free of clutter. Store equipment properly.
• Make necessary repairs on the belt.
• Maintain, properly store, and wear appropriate safety equipment (including a respirator).
• Properly complete required paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
