Job summary

Pregis Corporation in Sussex is hiring a Converting Operator - Tier Four to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain equipment to meet the highest quality standards, ensuring safe and efficient production.

We seek candidates with machine operation experience, strong safety focus, and basic math and computer skills. This shift runs Monday-Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a machine operator or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain machinery per production specs.
• Perform startups, shutdowns, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor operations to ensure consistent quality and output.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize performance.
• Operate electric pallet jacks, roll lifts, and hoists.
• Document production data and report issues.
• Perform in-line quality checks per the Quality Management System.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Support other tasks as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Converting Operator, you'll be at the heart of our production process-setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure our products meet the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:

• Setting up and operating machinery per production specs and safety protocols
• Performing machine startups, shutdowns, and basic troubleshooting
• Monitoring operations to maintain consistent quality and output

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a machine operator or similar role

• Mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to quality and safety

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
