Job summary

JOST International in Grand Haven, MI is seeking an Assembly Team Member to perform tasks related to the assembly of Landing Gear, Landing Gear Parts and related processes. Maintain quality by following standard work and WI’s while building components consistently.

Responsibilities include assembling gear legs, rotating through stations, logging training, and adhering to safety guidelines. Team-oriented, detail-focused candidates with mechanical aptitude are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School education or GED.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment safely and productively.
• Ability with dexterity to work in all assembly areas with varied part weights and sizes.
• Highly dependable, motivated and possesses a high degree of attention to detail.
• Capable of using applicable hand and power tools to include grinding tools.
• Mechanically inclined or previous experience in assembly.
• Understand and strictly abide by Work Instructions (WI).
• Knowledge of JOST’s Basic Processes and compliance with quality, environmental and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble landing gear legs and components correctly and efficiently.
• Follow standard work and Work Instructions (WI’s) and rotate daily across stations.
• Log and complete training documents.
• Perform tasks safely in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
• Communicate courteously with coworkers, supervisors and other JOST teams.
• Be capable of learning, cross-training and gaining proficiency in each position/station on the assembly lines and rotate daily as required.

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Assembly Line Supervisor and Assembly Lead. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Assembly Team Member

Performs job tasks and functions associated with the assembly of Landing Gear, Landing Gear Parts and all related processes, parts and components of.

Areas of Responsibility

• Is responsible to assemble landing gear legs and components of; correctly, efficiently with consistent quality work and following standardized work and quality standards.
• Is responsible to follow all standard work and Work Instructions (WI’s) and not deviate from.
• Is responsible to work independently and also to be a team player, work well with others and contribute to the success of the assembly team.
• Is responsible to log and complete training documents.
• Is responsible to perform tasks safely in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
• Must be able to learn, cross train and gain proficiency in each position/station on the assembly lines and rotate daily as required to each of the positions. (hours at each station required, daily)
• Is responsible to communicate in courteous manner with coworkers, supervisors and other JOST teams.
• Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
