Job summary

JOST International Corp is seeking an Assembly Team Member to support the Landing Gear assembly lines. You will perform tasks on the shop floor, follow standard work, use hand and power tools, and rotate through stations to build components safely and efficiently.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, good dexterity, and attention to detail.

INTRODUCTION

This position reports to Assembly Line Supervisor and Assembly Lead. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

ASSEMBLY TEAM MEMBER

Performs job tasks and functions associated with the assembly of Landing Gear, Landing Gear Parts and all related processes, parts and components of.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Is responsible to assemble landing gear legs and components of; correctly, efficiently with consistent quality work and following standardized work and quality standards.
  • Is responsible to follow all standard work and Work Instructions (WI’s) and not deviate from.
  • Is responsible to work independently and also to be a team player, work well with others and contribute to the success of the assembly team.
  • Is responsible to log and complete training documents.
  • Is responsible to perform tasks safely in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
  • Must be able to learn, cross train and gain proficiency in each position/station on the assembly lines and rotate daily as required to each of the positions. (hours at each station required, daily)
  • Is responsible to communicate in courteous manner with coworkers, supervisors and other JOST teams.
  • Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
Requirements
  • Completion of High School education or GED.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment safely and productively.
  • Ability with dexterity to work in all assembly areas with varied part weights and sizes.
  • Highly dependable, motivated and possesses a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Capable of using applicable hand and power tools to include grinding tools.
  • Mechanically inclined or previous experience in assembly.
  • Required to understand and strictly abide by Work Instructions. (WI)
  • Ability to gain knowledge of, understanding of and abide by JOST’s Basic Processes and gain knowledge of company products. Will also comply with quality, environmental and safety policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly and repetitively required to; walk, stand, see, hear, use hands, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and lift or move objects which weigh a minimum of 5# pounds to a maximum 51# pounds with or without assistance.
