The pay range for this position is $33.16-$48.88/hr., depending on your role, level, and location. GENERAL PURPOSE: Operate offset and direct image equipment.

Essential Job Functions

1. Sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of offset and direct image duplicating machines.
2. Operates other equipment as needed, including cutters, plate making equipment, etc.
3. Performs a variety of semi-complex or critical tasks where overall quality and/or quantity can seriously affect various manufacturing operations or costs.
4. Understands all documents pertaining to the printing process and adheres to specification requirements.
5. Locates and corrects machine malfunctions.
6. Cleans, lubricates, and makes adjustments to machinery to maintain quality of production.
7. Notifies supervision of needed repairs or replacement parts.
8. Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
9. Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
10. Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
11. Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
12. Maintains workspace in a clean and orderly fashion.
13. Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and validations.
14. Supports, understands, and adheres to LEAN Principles and Rules by identifying, valuating, and resolving problems.
15. Focuses on continuous improvement, quality, improved cycle times, safety, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction.
16. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Must have the ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
2. Must have good personal communication skills including reading, speaking, and writing simple sentences.
3. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
4. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
5. Must have basic math skills including the ability to calculate sums, differences, and percentages.
6. Must have intermediate computer skills (email, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.)
7. Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
8. Must be educated in all documents pertaining to the printing process and adhere to specification requirements.
9. Must be able to maintain good attendance.
10. Must pass color vision test.
11. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
12. Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
