Job summary

ThermalNetics, LLC seeks a Service Technician to care for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and service systems at customer locations and provide on-site technical support and training.

Responsibilities include checking, testing, starting up equipment, documenting work, and proactively recommending additional services. Some overtime and travel are required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a technical/trade school with HVAC certificate.
  • Experience servicing HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair using blueprints or specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial check-test-start for multiple products.
  • Service equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and repair units using hand tools and engineering drawings.
  • Identify and repair HVAC systems at customer sites.
  • Document work by completing job paperwork and maintaining records.
  • Communicate with customers as a direct company contact.
  • Provide training for troubleshooting and maintenance at customer sites.
  • Offer technical support to customers.
  • Travel to job sites with some overnight stays when required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for additional work based on equipment status.

Summary

Under general direction, you will be responsible for the service of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems. As a Service Technician, you will support ThermalNetics' customers by providing technical support and troubleshooting equipment problems.

Education

Associate's Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide initial Check- Test- Start for various products we represent.

  • Responsible for servicing products and equipment (not restricted to products we represent) on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.

  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.

  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.

  • Represents Company by serving as a direct customer contact.

  • Provides training for troubleshooting & maintenance at customer site.

  • Provides technical support to customers.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary.

  • Drives a company vehicle to job sites. Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.

  • Secures additional work through proactive recommendations based on equipment status and clients' needs.
