Kingsley Elementary School is seeking a 1st Grade Teacher who uses best practices to increase student achievement and delivers high academic expectations. The candidate will work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with families.

The teacher plans and delivers instruction to diverse learners, including those with special needs, and builds a safe, engaging learning environment that supports academic success and global citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college or university in the relevant field is required.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate in the appropriate field is required.
• Special Education endorsements/certifications as outlined (IEPs, case manager for students with disabilities) where applicable.
• ESOL & Gifted endorsements required.
• GACE Education Ethics Assessment must be passed.
• Minimum two years of verifiable industrial work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-appropriate curriculum and implements district standards.
• Develops and delivers lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning with evidence of preparation.
• Communicates with students, parents, and district personnel via phone, email, or video.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Uses technology to deliver instruction and collaborate with students.
• Assesses and documents student progress, attendance, and performance.
