Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Short-Arc (GMAW) Welder to join our Lockport, LA fabrication team. You will weld structural metal components according to blueprints and work orders, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of Short-Arc welding experience and can pass the hands-on 3G/4G test, with ability to work in a team on cutting-edge marine projects. This is an on-site, full-time position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of Short-Arc (GMAW) welding experience.
• Must pass a hands-on 3G/4G Short-Arc welding test.
• Able to read blueprints and work orders.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Short-Arc (GMAW) Welder with at least 6 months of Short-Arc (GMAW) welding experience . The candidate will weld structural metal components according to blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions. This position requires proficiency in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) using the Short-Arc technique.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 6 months of Short-Arc (GMAW) welding experience
• Must successfully pass a hands-on 3G/4G Short-Arc (GMAW) welding test, including 3G position welded with downhill progression and 4G position welded entirely in the overhead position

SKILLS

• Ability to weld components using GMAW tack welding techniques
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be familiar with basic welding or fitting processes
