Job summary

CTR Group is seeking a 1st Class Sheetmetal Mechanic/Joiner for a shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. The role is long-term, initially 1 year, with a pay rate of $38.00 per hour DOE and a per diem of $147 for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities include fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing bulkheads, cabinet furniture, ceilings, and deck structures on ships. Prior experience with ventilation drawings and blueprint interpretation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Master Tech Certification nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install and repair bulkheads, wood and metal articles, interior wood finishes, cabin accessories, wood and metal deck structures.
• Mount furniture, racks and bins, partition bulkheads, decorative ceilings, and false decks.
• Install and outfit bulkheads, doors, ceilings, shelving, consoles and attachments from drawings.
