Job summary

Genesis Industrial Staffing is seeking 1st Class Pipe Welders for the Pascagoula, MS area. You will perform pipe welding on Stainless Steel and Copper Nickel using GTAW/TIG in a shipyard-grade environment with day or night shifts.

Applicants need at least 3 years of pipe welding experience and proficiency in GTAW/TIG, SMAW, and FCAW, plus passing a 6G X-ray test. A sign-on bonus up to $500 and $180 per diem are offered, along with PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience.
• Experience in GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick welding), and FCAW (wire welding).
• Must pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper-nickel (6G).

Job Description:

A Pipe Welderis responsible forperforming pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding. The shipyard environment isan aroundthe clock manufacturing setting. Production areas at times involve workingat different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Welder maybe requiredto work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of pipewelding experience.
• Must have experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as \"stick welding\"and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) also known as “wire welding.”
• Must pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper nickel in the 6G position (restricted). The pipe welding test is given in a restricted position (6 G) on a5''schedule80 carbon steelpipe. GTAW (TIG) process used for root pass, 11018electrodeused for weld fill
