217, Inc. in Champaign, IL is seeking a 1st or 2nd year Plumbing Apprentice to gain hands-on experience under licensed plumbers.

You will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, read blueprints, and help install water heaters, sinks, and fixtures. The ideal candidate has up to 24 months of verifiable apprentice experience, a valid driver's license, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Registered Illinois Plumbing Apprentice preferred.
• Up to 24 months of verifiable apprentice experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems under the guidance of licensed plumbers
• Read blueprints and follow building plans to ensure proper plumbing layouts
• Measure, cut, and assemble pipe and fittings using hand and power tools
• Help install water heaters, sinks, toilets, and other fixtures
• Support testing and inspection of plumbing systems for leaks and code compliance
• Maintain clean and safe work areas on job sites
• Maintain complete and accurate records
• Follow all safety and health regulations

We are currently looking for a 1st or 2nd year Plumbing Apprentice to join our professional company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has begun their plumbing apprenticeship and is eager to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled, licensed plumbers.

The ideal candidate will have up to 24 months of verifiable apprentice experience and a strong desire to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.
