Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Safely operate all tube welding mills to meet or exceed productivity and quality expectations, including setup and adjustments of all continuous tube weld mills; perform the Standard Work Instructions (SWI's) for the Welding Department.
2. Advise and assist welding operators on mill operations, setups, and adjustments; conduct periodic inspection checks to determine necessary adjustments; operate any welder temporarily for relief purposes.
3. Complete destructive and nondestructive tube quality checks as required.
4. Prepare various rolls, clamps, bars, and mandrels for changeovers or replacements; maintain a continuous supply of strip steel from storage to welder.
5. Install and recondition electrodes; maintain perishable tooling and supplies for the mill.

Welder Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Strong general mechanical skills.
3. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
4. Stand, walk, handle objects, tools, or controls for up to 8 hours a day.
5. Welder-related experience preferred.
6. Must be trainable and demonstrate acceptable comprehension of inspection processes.
7. Ability to use measuring equipment, including micrometers and tape measures.
