Job summary

PM Mold is seeking a Quality Technician to support our Injection Molding Quality department. Under the Quality Manager, you will perform first piece, in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and safety standards.

You will lead containment actions, document results, and participate in non-conformance reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with inspection tools, blueprint reading, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years prior quality inspection experience.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards and lab equipment operation.
• Strong math skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform injection molding dimensional inspection.
• Verify first piece and end-of-run samples.
• Evaluate parts and record results.
• Identify dimensional and visual defects using Quality Standard Check.
• Approve and reject parts based on test results and standards.
• Inspect finished parts and conduct dock audits per procedures.

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, this role will support the production department through First piece, in-process and final inspections, early non-conformance detection and reporting of defective products. Duties & Responsibilities:

Will be performing injection molding dimensional inspection. Verifies first piece and end of run samples. Evaluate parts, record results. Identify dimensional and visual defects using Quality Standard Check. Will complete and maintain records. Approve and reject parts based on test results and standards. Also, will inspect finished parts and conduct dock audits as specified in procedures

Requirements

• Knowledge of ISO and other related quality system standards
• Ability to operate inspection/lab equipment
• Strong math skills
• Strong leadership abilities and good communication skills
• Understanding basic blueprint reading principles, understanding quality principles and practices.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator
• Computer skills – Excel/Word
• Excellent Attendance Mandatory
• Corrective/Preventative Actions Report experience
• 2-5 years prior quality inspection experience
• Plastics/Molding experience a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
