Asheville Waldorf School is seeking a combined 1st/2nd Grade teacher to join our school faculty starting July 1 for the 2025/2026 school year.
Asheville Waldorf School is in its thirteenth year. This year, we offer two mixed-age kindergartens, parent-child classes, and grades 1 through 6.
We became an associate member of WECAN in 2017 and of AWSNA in 2018. Our community includes a dedicated faculty, a committed board, supportive administration, and involved parents and families.
The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf Grades Training and have classroom teaching experience in Waldorf education. New teachers with a serious interest in developing as Waldorf Grades teachers are also welcome. We seek educators with a strong understanding of child development, an interest in Anthroposophy, a love for working with children, and enthusiasm to be involved in a school moving to a permanent forest-based location near town and continuing Waldorf accreditation.
