Job summary

Brakebush Brothers Inc. in Mocksville, NC is seeking a 1L3 Line Sanitarian, 1st Shift to maintain cleanliness of production areas in line with sanitation, safety and quality standards.

You will perform duties including hygiene area maintenance, monitoring for unsanitary conditions, operating a floor scrubber, and supporting safety training; this is a full-time position with early start hours, potential Fridays and overtime.

Qualifications

• Must complete required safety training (Powered Industrial Trucks, Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, etc.).
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 8 hours per day.
• Previous food processing/manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple hygiene areas for employees, including boot dips, hand wash stations, and hand sanitizing stations, including chemical balance and soap and sanitizer levels.
• Monitor production area for unsanitary conditions, taking appropriate action to correct deficiencies, such as picking up trash and taking it to the inedible dock, sanitizing door handles and pull cords, and keeping work areas and major walkways clear and free from any hazards as a result of unsanitary conditions.
• Operate riding floor scrubber as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Arrangement:

POSITION: Line Sanitarian

HOURS: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with availability to work Fridays and overtime.
COMPENSATION: $21.56 Hourly
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

EMPLOYMENT: Full time

JOB SUMMARY: Maintains cleanliness of operations work areas in keeping with sanitation, quality and safety guidelines.

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintain multiple hygiene areas for employees, including boot dips, hand wash stations, and hand sanitizing stations, including chemical balance and soap and sanitizer levels.
• Monitor production area for unsanitary conditions, taking appropriate action to correct deficiencies, such as picking up trash and taking it to the inedible dock, sanitizing door handles and pull cords, and keeping work areas and major walkways clear and free from any hazards as a result of unsanitary conditions.
• Operate riding floor scrubber as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold; noise; humidity; moving vehicles; slippery floors; possible heavy and repeated lifting. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
