Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a seasonal Host to warmly welcome guests and manage the host station during events.

This tipped position pays $16.00–$18.00 per hour, with weekly pay and access to a benefits package including training, discounts, and flexible schedules. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience preferred.
• Friendly, polite and professional communication with guests and team members.
• Ability to maintain energy in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors warmly at the club entrance, check tickets or credentials, and verify access to all-inclusive areas.
• Monitor the all-inclusive buffet, lounge, or seating areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels.
• Answer questions, offer clear directions, and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the event.
• Maintain consistent and accurate communications with Management, demonstrate proactive guest relations, and elevate any guest complaints swiftly and proactively.
• Spot special requests before guests ask; greet returning or VIP guests by name and acknowledge special occasions.
• Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and event managers to handle crowd flow and special requests.
• Brief floor staff on event timelines, incoming parties, VIPs, or specific customer preferences.

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a seasonalHost to join our team at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. As a Host, you will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing the host station.

Please note that this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’s include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$16.00 – $18.00 / hour

More about you

• Prior experience in a guest service environment preferred
• Friendly, polite, and professional communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
• Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and move around for long periods during events
• Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of the shift
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 pounds
