Job summary

Schnuck Markets, Inc. is seeking a friendly customer service teammate in Illinois. The role requires starting at 7am on weekdays and weekends and offers 20+ hours per week.

You will assist customers, bag groceries, stock, sweep floors, and handle basic store duties. Training provided at store level; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet 4–8 hours.

This role is offering 20+ hours per week**.**

This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. You could expect the position of a customer service person to include the following:

DUTIES:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates:minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
