Job summary

Schnucks Markets, Inc. is seeking a part-time Customer Service teammate to provide friendly service, bag purchases, and assist customers in-store. This role requires work during 3:00 PM–9:00 PM hours and weekends, with expected attendance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Training is provided at store level, and the position offers varied duties to support store operations. We value reliability and a proactive attitude; internal candidates have preferred status following store guidelines.

Candidates MUST be available between 3pm - 9pm and weekends to be considered.

This role is offering about 16-20 hours per week.

This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. You could expect the position of a customer service person to include the following:

DUTIES:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelvesRead and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates:minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Compensation Pay Range:
