Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a customer service teammate in Cape Girardeau, MO to provide friendly service, assist customers, and support daily store operations. This entry-level role involves bagging, cart duties, and helping customers locate items within the store.

You will be expected to maintain reliable attendance, work in outdoor seasonal weather when needed, and lift up to 50 pounds. Training will be provided at store level, and there is potential for advancement within the company.

• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves.
• Read and understand shelf tags.
• Verify prices of merchandise.

DUTIES

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements

Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred. Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline). If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
