Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a friendly customer service teammate to assist shoppers, bag groceries, and maintain a pleasant shopping environment. You will help with cart retrieval, price checks, shelf tagging, and assisting at checkout areas with a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.

• Carry customers' purchases to cars.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Sweep and mop floors; read shelf tags and verify prices.
• Stock bags on check stands; return merchandise to shelves.
• Other duties as assigned by store management.

DUTIES:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers' purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements - Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
