Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support PMW160 and NIWC Pacific for U.S. Navy Enterprise networks. You will shape capability delivery through system design, development, integration, and lifecycle support, collaborating with Navy stakeholders to ensure documentation and integration of applications and services.

The role requires DoD cybersecurity experience, necessary clearances or eligibility, and a U.S. citizen status.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and IT environments.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating IT systems for DoD.
• DoD cybersecurity and compliance experience including RMF/STIG processes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, integrate, and maintain software and system components for PMW160 deployments.
• Create/modify scripts and utilities for configuration, automation, and deployment.
• Integrate hardware/software with virtual infrastructures and Windows/Linux environments via IP/non-IP based apps.
• Patch, update, and test software to ensure baseline integrity and compatibility.
• Develop system automation tools using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Support DoD cybersecurity standards including RMF validation and STIG implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex lab and field issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering in a fast-paced environment to maintain operational readiness.

Sigma Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support PMW160 and NIWC Pacific for U.S. Navy Enterprise networks. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape capability delivery by providing system design, system development, systems integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle engineering support for Navy IT networks and systems. The candidate will work closely with Navy stakeholders and partner teams to ensure applications and services are documented and integrated effectively.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

• Design, Develop, enhance, integrate, and maintain software and system components supporting PMW160 system configuration, deployment, and sustainment.
• Create, Modify, or enhance scripts and utilities used for configuration, automation, and deployment of various software.
• Integrate hardware and software with virtual infrastructures, Windows, Linux, via IP based and Non-IP based applications.
• Support and perform software patching, updates, and application compatibility testing to ensure system baseline integrity.
• Create and maintain system automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Contribute to system compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards including STIG implementation and RMF validation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in lab and deployed environments while providing root cause analysis, and defect resolution implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering team in a fast-paced operational environment to support operational readiness.
• Ensure customer requirements are met while operating effectively, considering all aspects of the product lifecycle, from design to maintenance.
• Participate and support production installation events, lab integration testing, and software readiness reviews.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
